The Education Department at Orange City Area Health System is devoted to catering to the needs of our patients, their families, our employees, and the surrounding communities. We offer a wide range of programs that focus on delivering top-quality healthcare-related education. These programs include prepared childbirth classes, diabetes and prediabetes classes and support groups, AHA-accredited courses, and babysitting classes.

The class, taught by health system nursing staff and other community professionals, includes child development, first aid, nutrition, and more. Students should bring a teddy bear or doll to class. Cost is $40, due before or at the time of check-in. You can pay by check or cash. To remain an active BLS provider, the AHA requires renewal every two years. Do not register for this class unless you have a current BLS card.
