Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Prairie Ridge Care Center

Clinic Nurse/Mill Creek Lab
The Medical Clinic Nurse delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. She/he assists in patient teaching and is a link between the medical provider and patients. The Clinic Nurse is responsible for obtaining blood, preparing the lab sample to be transferred to Orange City. The nurse will also be performing certain lab tests while working in Mill Creek. In addition to meeting the needs of the lab patients, the nurse will be assisting other nurses and providers in the clinic with patients that are seen in the clinic. The clinic nurse will perform limited radiology exams. Previous experience as a Limited Radiology Technologist preferred. Will offer training within the first year of employment with a certified Limited Radiology Technology on-line program. The Clinic Nurse would be orientated to work in all OCAHS clinics.
Clinic RN or LPN
The Medical Clinic Nurse is responsible for patient care, assisting in patient teaching, and acting as a link between patients and medical providers. They receive a high volume of phone calls daily and work closely with primary care physicians to meet patients' needs. The Clinic Nurse works in either the Medical or Specialty Clinic and must be flexible, professional, and a good communicator. They also participate in general nursing issues like immunization updates and infection control.
Cook
The Cook is responsible for preparing meals for patients, staff, visitors, and special events and meetings. They will prepare food in the kitchen and cafeteria grill area. As the AM Cook, they will be responsible for preparing grill items and food for the next day. The cook will also serve customers and assist with the cleanup. Additionally, they will receive cross-training for other dining services positions, including the grill and cook assist, at the hospital, Prairie Ridge, and Landsmeer Ridge.
Cook Assist
The PM Cook Assist works with the cook to set up meal trays for patients. He/she delivers patient trays and is involved in clean up. The Cook Assistant has responsibility for washing dishes, operating the dish machine, and doing assigned cleaning. He/she puts away dishes, stocks items, and helps in the cafeteria. May cross-train as a cook.
EMT/Ambulance Driver
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is a trained healthcare professional who specializes in providing immediate medical attention and care to patients in emergency situations. They play a crucial role in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transfers, following strict Orange City Area Health System Ambulance protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of patients. With their extensive knowledge and skills, EMTs are capable of handling a wide range of emergency situations and delivering life-saving care to those in need.
Environmental Services Associate
Responsibilities include cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, buffing floors, and washing windows. Ideal candidate should be reliable, self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, and have good interpersonal skills.
Environmental Services Associate - Mill Creek
Performs general housekeeping duties which include but are not limited to dusting, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing and buffing floors, carpet care, washing windows and other housekeeping related duties. The position will work primarily at Mill Creek in Paullina. He/she may be cross-trained to fill in at other OCAHS locations.
Home Health & Hospice Aide
Home Health & Hospice Aides provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, exercising, toileting, and supportive care. They also prepare meals, do light housekeeping, and offer respite care. Aides aim to make a positive difference in the lives of all ages, from children to the elderly. Previous CNA or caregiving experience preferred. Must have own transportation and a valid driver's license for a 30-mile radius of Orange City.
Maintenance Mechanic
The Maintenance Mechanic oversees building maintenance and repair, including HVAC, electrical work, plumbing, and preventive maintenance. They must have broad technical skills, knowledge of safety regulations, and excellent communication and customer service skills. The successful candidate should be self-motivated, flexible, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician
Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures and related duties according to established standards and regulations for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. He/she will work with self-discipline, good judgment, and considerable independence while following established standards of practice. Day-to-day duties include quality control, quality assurance, and instrument maintenance. He/she must be proficient in assigned areas and willing to learn new technology.
