BLS & CPR Classes

For Healthcare Providers who have not taken (AHA) BLS in the past or who have let their BLS card expire. Cost: $75; Please bring payment with you to class. There is no cost for OCAHS employees to attend class.

Book is not included. It is recommended that you purchase and review the student manual prior to class. (BLS Provider Manual AHS 2020. ISBN 978-1-61669-768-6). If desired, a loaned student manual can be requested through the education department.

For Healthcare Providers including students working in a health-related field, EMTs and First Responders. Must have a current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card. To remain an active BLS provider, the AHA requires renewal every two years. Do not register for this class unless you have a current BLS card. To ensure current CPR certification, a copy of your current BLS card may be requested following registration.

Cost: $50 for non-employed persons. Please bring payment with you to class. There is no cost for OCAHS employees to attend class.

An alternative BLS Renewal option to the in person renewal classes. For Healthcare Providers including students working in a health-related field, EMTs and First Responders. 1) Pay and take the online Heartcode BLS course through AHA. This will need to be completed prior to scheduling your test out date.

2) Pay ($30.00) and complete test out with one of our AHA instructors (this includes cost of ecard). Payment should be brought to your test out along with a printed Heartcode certificate.

Adult, Child & Infant Heartsaver CPR and First Aid (HeartSaver Total)

For the general public; specifically for individuals adopting, doing foster care or for those needing to meet OSHA requirements for their job.

1) Pay and take the online Heartsaver Total course through AHA. This will need to be completed prior to scheduling your test out date.

2) Pay ($40.00) and complete test out with one of our AHA instructors (this includes cost of ecard). Payment should be brought to your test out along with a printed HeartSaver certificate.

Pediatric Heartsaver CPR and First Aid

For the general public including camp counselors, teachers, and those working in a daycare setting.

1) Pay and take the online Pediatric Heartsaver course through AHA. This will need to be completed prior to scheduling your test out date.

2) Pay ($40.00) and complete test out with one of our AHA instructors (this includes cost of ecard). Payment should be brought to your test out along with a printed Peds Heartsaver certificate.
