Your Visit

When you arrive at the Emergency Center, a healthcare professional will greet you and conduct a quick medical history and examination to determine the severity of your condition.

Our emergency medicine providers and nurses are experts in their field. They will thoroughly examine you and develop a personalized treatment plan based on your unique medical needs. To help diagnose your condition, they may also order lab tests and diagnostic procedures. After receiving treatment, the emergency services team will take one of the following actions: discharge you and provide you with instructions for your care, admit you to the hospital for surgery, observation, or inpatient care, or transfer you to a larger hospital if your medical or surgical condition requires more specialized personnel or equipment.

The emergency physician's main role is to treat emergency medical conditions. You will need to follow up with your primary care physician after discharge for further evaluation and treatment.
