Social Worker
The role of a medical social worker entails providing comprehensive social services to patients in both the hospital and home settings. The individual works closely with an interdisciplinary team to address the social, emotional, and economic needs of the client and their family. This includes assessing the patient's social support network, identifying any barriers to care, and developing a care plan that is tailored to their unique needs. Additionally, the social worker may provide counseling services, assist with financial and insurance issues, and connect patients with community resources that can support their recovery. The overall goal of this support is to empower the patient and their family to achieve an optimal level of functioning and improve their quality of life.

Education Requirements:
Applicants must have a Master’s degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), a bachelor’s degree in SW from a CSWE-accredited institution, or a bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, or another field related to social work.
Job Schedule:
Full-time, 32-40 hours/week. Actual days and hours may vary.
