Mill Creek Family Medicine Clinic expands providers to serve area

Patients coming to the Mill Creek Clinic in Paullina for a range of family medicine services will be greeted by new faces and served by new providers starting in August.

Laura Noteboom has taken over the reigns as Clinic Manager, replacing Lonna Boltjes, who retired in July after serving in that role since the clinic opened its doors in September 1996.

Mill Creek Clinic, owned and operated by Orange City Area Health System, is designated as a Rural Health Clinic (RHC). When it opened 28 years ago it was served by three family practice providers. Today, patients have the opportunity to receive medical and mental health services from nine providers, including the recent addition of Brandon Vander Stoep, MD, and Stacey Jumbeck, ARNP.

As an RHC, Mill Creek Family Medicine Clinic meets the required criteria that includes serving a federally-designated medically underserved area, furnishing on site routine diagnostic (imaging/Xray) and laboratory services, having drugs and biologicals necessary for the treatment of emergencies, and having an arrangement with a hospital to provide medically necessary services not available at the RHC facility.

In addition, Mill Creek Clinic offers acute care, annual wellness exams and athletic physicals, DOT and flight physicals, and mental/behavioral health services. The clinic’s providers include two medical doctors, four advance-level practitioners, and three mental health providers. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9am-noon and 1-4:30pm.
