Volunteer Opportunities

Great ways to serve as a volunteer with Orange City Area Health System

=

Gift Garden

Numerous volunteers are needed for all areas of the gift shop, which is run by the Auxiliary – from cashiering to making coffee, stocking shelves to delivering merchandise to patients.

=

Information Desk

You can help us welcome patients, families, and visitors upon their arrival to the health system, and help direct or escort them to their destination.

=

Office/Clerical

Volunteers make a real difference in our office environments by assisting staff with typing, filing, preparing mailers, and making copies.

=

Surgery Waiting Receptionist

Waiting for a loved one in surgery can be daunting. Volunteers offer a warm, welcoming, and helpful environment. They also escort patients to their surgery suite, and family members to the consult room or other areas.

=

Hospice

Volunteers are the backbone and sustaining force behind a successful hospice program, providing personal care patient support, spiritual support, homemaking, journaling, breavement support, and many other areas.

=

Senior Care

If you have a gift of caring, you can read to sight impaired residents, lead hymn sings, serve refreshments, play games, help with decorating and events, and just provide comfort and warmth to senior care residents.
