From Questions to Confidence: Meet Dr. Hetal Verma

Breast screening can come with questions and uncertainty. Having specialized expertise behind each mammogram helps patients move forward with greater confidence.

Dr. Hetal Verma is a fellowship-trained breast imaging radiologist who has provided remote radiology services for Orange City Area Health System since March 2026. She interprets screening mammograms and supports diagnostic breast imaging evaluations, allowing patients to benefit from specialized expertise while receiving their imaging close to home.

During diagnostic breast imaging appointments, Dr. Verma also meets face to face with OCAHS patients through telemedicine to review their results in real time. This gives patients an opportunity to hear directly from a breast imaging specialist, ask questions, and better understand their results without traveling outside the community.

Dr. Verma completed her diagnostic radiology residency at UMass Memorial Medical Center and a breast imaging fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. She currently serves as Director of Breast Imaging at Cambridge Health Alliance and as an assistant professor of radiology at Harvard Medical School.

Throughout her career, Dr. Verma has gained extensive experience in screening and diagnostic mammography, breast MRI, and image-guided breast procedures. She has also helped advance breast imaging programs, introduce new technologies, and educate medical students, radiologists, and technologists.
