Pediatrician Megan Meis, DO, recently joined Orange City Area Health System’s family medicine team as its first staff Pediatrician. She begins seeing patients on August 8.
Dr. Meis, a native of LeMars, Iowa, joins the health system after serving as a pediatric resident at USD Sanford School of Medicine. Dr. Meis earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science from Iowa State University.
“We are excited to have Dr. Meis join our practice,” remarked Steve Walhof, Clinic Director. “She will definitely enhance our family medicine clinic by having a physician that is dedicated to pediatrics. We look forward to seeing her build her practice here at Orange City Area Health System.”
“Dr. Meis further adds to the depth of services we offer,” commented Marty Guthmiller, CEO of the health system, which has family medicine clinics in Orange City, Hospers, Paullina, and on the campus of Northwestern College. “She will complement the already excellent pediatric care provided by our family physicians.”
Dr. Meis joins Orange City Area Health System’s team of family medicine providers, surgeons, radiologists, physical therapists, and patient care staff that serve the region in four family medicine clinics, behavioral health clinic, sports medicine clinic, hospital, and birth center.
“Dr. Meis’ passion for children makes her a great fit for us and we are confident her patients and families will feel the same,” added Guthmiller.
