Host/Hostess - PRCC (Full-time and Part-time evenings)
The Prairie Ridge Care Center (PRCC) Host/Hostess is largely responsible for setting the welcoming, home like atmosphere in the cottage to which she/he is assigned. She/he sets tables, greets residents coming to the dining room, serves the meals, clears tables, runs the dish machine in the cottage, attends to assigned cleaning tasks, does scheduled activities with residents, serves snack times for residents, staff and visitors, and in general watches over and spends time with residents making the cottage a home. Server/PM Assist - Landsmeer (Casual)
The Server/PM Assistant assists with meal set up by serving beverages. He/she serves the meal, clears the tables, and cleans the dining room. He/she performs housekeeping and dishwashing duties. Click here for more information.
Patient Appointment Scheduler (Part-time)
The Patient Appointment Scheduler is part of the Patient Appointment Center (PAC). The PAC coordinates the scheduling of Hospital outpatient and inpatient diagnostic procedures performed or held at Orange City Area Health System (OCAHS). He/she works closely with physicians and clinic staff, patients, visitors and OCAHS managers and staff to establish, promote, and maintain a well defined, customer orientated scheduling system. EMT/Ambulance Driver (Casual)
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides patient care in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transfers, according to Orange City Area Health System Ambulance protocols. The EMT will work as a team member with other EMTs and Paramedics. Click here for more information.
Hospital Paramedic (Full-time)
The Hospital Paramedic provides direct patient care to patients requiring emergency treatment and transport, in the out of hospital setting, and during inter-facility transports. He/she is an active member of the OCAHS ambulance team. He/she assists with inpatient and outpatient services within his/her scope of practice to include assisting with respiratory treatments, EKG’s, injections, infusions, and patient monitoring during procedures. Cook Assistant/Runner - Hospital (Casual)
The Cook Assistant – Runner delivers meal trays to hospital patients, washes pots and pans, operates the dish machine, and does assigned cleaning and mopping. She/he puts away dishes, stocks items and helps set up, deliver, and clean up for special dining events as needed. Click here for more information.

Home Health & Hospice Nurse (Full-time and Part-time)
The Home Health & Hospice Nurse works as a primary case manager for home health and hospice patients and families in their homes, nursing homes or inpatient facilities. He/she is responsible for providing assessment, interventions, evaluation of patient/family needs, care coordination and case management for his/her caseload of patients. Care Coordinator (Casual)
The Care Coordinator is responsible for the appropriate use of inpatient services, through evaluation of admissions, use of ancillary services, and/or length of hospital stay. He/she will be responsible for assessing, coordinating, and implementing the discharge needs of the hospitalized patient. The Care Coordinator is also responsible for obtaining pre-authorization of outpatient medications.

Hospital Nursing Assistant (Part-time and Casual)
The Nurse Assistant provides all aspects of personal care to patients in the hospital including bathing, hygiene, nutritional assistance, activities, rehabilitation assistance etc. Click here for more information.
Medical Clinic Nurse (Casual)
The Medical Clinic Nurse delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. She/he assists in patient teaching and is a link between the medical provider and patients. The Clinic Nurse responds to a high volume of phone calls each day, in addition to meeting the needs of the patients with scheduled appointments. Surgical Technologist (Full-time and Part-time)
The Surgical Technologist is a member of the surgical team who works with other personnel in delivering quality care to the patient and assumes responsibilities pre-operatively, intra-operatively and post-operatively. He/she demonstrates technical competence and knowledge of aseptic technique, operating room policies and procedures, equipment, and supplies and instruments used in the operating room. He/she must possess well developed critical thinking skills and positive interpersonal relationships. The tech utilizes appropriate age related patient care protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. The Cook prepares meals, salads, and desserts and does some grille cooking during the noon meal. He/she sets tables, assists in serving meals and washes dishes. Performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures and related duties according to established standards and regulations for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Will work with self-discipline, good judgment, and considerable independence while following established standards of practice. The RN acts as a team leader in our Cottages. He/She administers meds/ treatments and supervises and directs care for approximately 24-48 residents. We are a team that is committed to assisting our residents to live meaningful and fulfilling lives. We also encourage the staff to join with the residents in the many activities we have. The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) provides personal and supportive care to the residents to make this possible. We also encourage the CNA to join with the residents in the many activities we offer. Completion of a 75 hour CNA course is required. OCAHS will assist you in completing this course and will also pay for this course if you join our team.
