Medical Clinic Nurse/Mill Creek Lab (Casual)
The Medical Clinic Nurse delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. She/he assists in patient teaching and is a link between the medical provider and patients. The Clinic Nurse is responsible for obtaining blood, preparing the lab sample to be transferred to Orange City. The nurse will also be performing certain lab tests while working in Mill Creek. In addition to meeting the needs of the lab patients, the nurse will be assisting other nurses and providers in the clinic with patients that are seen in the clinic. Medical Clinic Nurse (Part-time & Casual)
The Medical Clinic Nurse delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. She/he assists in patient teaching and is a link between the medical provider and patients. The Clinic Nurse responds to a high volume of phone calls each day, in addition to meeting the needs of the patients with scheduled appointments. The Physical Therapy Aide/Receptionist performs duties including inpatient and outpatient admissions/scheduling, receiving and directing phone calls, typing, copying, filing and general office duties. Host/Hostess - PRCC (Full-time and Part-time)
The Prairie Ridge Care Center (PRCC) Host/Hostess is largely responsible for setting the welcoming, home like atmosphere in the cottage to which she/he is assigned. She/he sets tables, greets residents coming to the dining room, serves the meals, clears tables, runs the dish machine in the cottage, attends to assigned cleaning tasks, does scheduled activities with residents, serves snack times for residents, staff and visitors, and in general watches over and spends time with residents making the cottage a home. EMT/Ambulance Driver (Casual)
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides patient care in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transfers, according to Orange City Area Health System Ambulance protocols. The EMT will work as a team member with other EMTs and Paramedics. Click here for more information.
Hospital Paramedic (Full-time)
The Hospital Paramedic provides direct patient care to patients requiring emergency treatment and transport, in the out of hospital setting, and during inter-facility transports. He/she is an active member of the OCAHS ambulance team. He/she assists with inpatient and outpatient services within his/her scope of practice to include assisting with respiratory treatments, EKG’s, injections, infusions, and patient monitoring during procedures. Surgical Technologist (Full-time and Part-time)
The Surgical Technologist is a member of the surgical team who works with other personnel in delivering quality care to the patient and assumes responsibilities pre-operatively, intra-operatively and post-operatively. He/she demonstrates technical competence and knowledge of aseptic technique, operating room policies and procedures, equipment, and supplies and instruments used in the operating room. He/she must possess well developed critical thinking skills and positive interpersonal relationships. The tech utilizes appropriate age related patient care protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. The RN acts as a team leader in our Cottages. He/She administers meds/ treatments and supervises and directs care for approximately 24-48 residents. We are a team that is committed to assisting our residents to live meaningful and fulfilling lives. We also encourage the staff to join with the residents in the many activities we have.
