Cook - PRCC (Full-time)
The Prairie Ridge Care Center (PRCC) Cook prepares meals for residents, staff and visitors. He/she serves customers and is involved in clean up. The Cook has responsibility for delivering food to the various cottages of PRCC, cleanup of cooking areas & items, operating the dish machine as needed, doing assigned cleaning and mopping as needed. He/she puts away dishes, stocks items, and services the Sidewalk Café window as needed. He/she sets up, delivers, and cleans up for special dining events. All cooks work all three shifts. Patient Appointment Scheduler, Lab/Imaging Receptionist (Full-time)
The Patient Appointment Scheduler coordinates the scheduling of Hospital outpatient and inpatient diagnostic procedures performed or held at Orange City Area Health System (OCAHS). He/she works closely with physicians and clinic staff, patients, visitors and OCAHS managers and staff to establish, promote, and maintain a well defined, customer orientated scheduling system. This position is vital for patients and departments at OCAHS in that it provides a centralized basis of patient flow through appointment scheduling and proper test sequencing. He/she must use foresight to collaborate with the health care team, physicians, and office staff to assure holistic care of patients. The Patient Appointment Scheduler assists in prior-authorization of high end testing with patient’s health insurance. He/she also assists in registering patients for laboratory and imaging services. Medical Clinic Nurse (Casual)
The Medical Clinic Nurse delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. She/he assists in patient teaching and is a link between the medical provider and patients. The Clinic Nurse responds to a high volume of phone calls each day, in addition to meeting the needs of the patients with scheduled appointments. Walk-In Clinic Physician Assistant or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) (Part-time)
A part time Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner for a Walk-In Clinic practice. The ideal candidate is comfortable seeing clients of all ages and requires the ability to work independently to treat a variety of acute and chronic illnesses. There is an emphasis on evidence-based patient care. The applicant must be highly organized, capable of decision making and implementing new procedures and processes. Must be able to work interdependently with the health care team and community resources. Walk-In Clinic Nurse (Part-time)
The Walk-In Clinic Nurse is responsible for patient assessments, triage, and coordination of care. Collaborates with the provider to plan, implement and evaluate care. The Walk-In Clinic Nurse responds to a high volume of walk-in patients and phone calls each day. She/he will be responsible for triaging walk-in patients, performing assessments, performing limited laboratory testing and carrying out various treatments plans ordered by the provider. Resident Associate - Landsmeer (2 positions)
The Resident Associate cleans apartments, does flat linen laundry, makes beds, and cleans common areas in independent living and assisted living areas of the building. He/she assists residents with minimum personal cares, and serves meals in dinning rooms, and assists with recreational activities. Click here for more information.
Host/Hostess - PRCC (Part-time)
The Prairie Ridge Care Center (PRCC) Host/Hostess is largely responsible for setting the welcoming, home like atmosphere in the cottage to which she/he is assigned. She/he sets tables, greets residents coming to the dining room, serves the meals, clears tables, runs the dish machine in the cottage, attends to assigned cleaning tasks, does scheduled activities with residents, serves snack times for residents, staff and visitors, and in general watches over and spends time with residents making the cottage a home. Join a long term care facility that where the overriding concept is that PRCC is a HOME – and that means that the care and activities are resident-centered. The RN acts as a team leader in our Cottages. He/She administers meds/ treatments and supervises and directs care for approximately 24-48 residents. We are a team that is committed to assisting our residents to live meaningful and fulfilling lives. We also encourage the staff to join with the residents in the many activities we have. Sr. Care Nurse Assistant - PRCC (Full-time & Part-time)

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) provides personal and supportive care to the residents to make this possible. We are a team that is committed to assisting our residents to live meaningful and fulfilling lives. PRCC is committed to providing consistent care for our residents which enriches the relationship between the CNA and resident. We also encourage the CNA to join with the residents in the many activities we offer. Completion of a 75 hour CNA course is required. OCAHS will assist you in completing this course and will also pay for this course if you join our team. This may be a great career for you with potential for advancement or it may be an opportunity to gain experience in the healthcare field while furthering your education.
