ER/Hospital Receptionist (Full-time)
The Receptionist is responsible for answering the phone, registering patients, and conducting basic office duties such as copying, typing, assembling and other duties as assigned. This receptionist is located in the ER reception area and works closely with the ER staff and the Hospital nurses’ station. The Medical Clinic Receptionist greets and assists patients in person and on the phone, schedules appointments by computer, takes messages, enters and verifies patient information. Host/Hostess - PRCC (Full-time, Part-time &Casual)
The Prairie Ridge Care Center (PRCC) Host/Hostess is largely responsible for setting the welcoming, home like atmosphere in the cottage to which she/he is assigned. She/he sets tables, greets residents coming to the dining room, serves the meals, clears tables, runs the dish machine in the cottage, attends to assigned cleaning tasks, does scheduled activities with residents, serves snack times for residents, staff and visitors, and in general watches over and spends time with residents making the cottage a home. Education Coordinator (Part-time)
The Education Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing the medical/healthcare educational activities for Orange City Area Health System. The Coordinator is responsible for all medical/healthcare classes such as Mandatory Reporter, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, NRP etc. He/she schedules classes, communicates with staff who are required to take classes, enrolls students in the appropriate class, requests CEs etc. He/she should be willing to become an instructor for some classes in the future. The Coordinator will be involved in hospital nursing service competencies, helping to orient new staff to the medical/surgical floor and may be involved in other nursing or administrative projects. Medical Clinic Nurse (Casual)
The Medical Clinic Nurse delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. She/he assists in patient teaching and is a link between the medical provider and patients. The Surgical Technologist is a member of the surgical team who works with other personnel in delivering quality care to the patient and assumes responsibilities pre-operatively, intra-operatively and post-operatively. He/she demonstrates technical competence and knowledge of aseptic technique, operating room policies and procedures, equipment, and supplies and instruments used in the operating room. He/she must possess well developed critical thinking skills and positive interpersonal relationships. The Prairie Ridge Care Center (PRCC) Cook prepares meals for residents, staff and visitors. He/she serves customers and is involved in clean up. The Cook has responsibility for delivering food to the various cottages of PRCC, cleanup of cooking areas & items, operating the dish machine as needed, doing assigned cleaning and mopping as needed. He/she puts away dishes, stocks items, and services the Sidewalk Café window as needed. He/she sets up, delivers, and cleans up for special dining events. All cooks work all three shifts. Join a long term care facility that where the overriding concept is that PRCC is a HOME – and that means that the care and activities are resident-centered. The RN acts as a team leader in our Cottages. He/She administers meds/ treatments and supervises and directs care for approximately 24-48 residents. We are a team that is committed to assisting our residents to live meaningful and fulfilling lives. We also encourage the staff to join with the residents in the many activities we have. We also encourage the CNA to join with the residents in the many activities we offer. Completion of a 75 hour CNA course is required.
