Voluntary Services Manager (Full-time)
The Volunteer Services Manager oversees all volunteers associated with Orange City Area Health System (OCAHS), serves as the Auxiliary liaison and oversees daily operations of the Gift Shop. This position recruits, interviews, orientates, and places new volunteers and fosters relationship with existing volunteers, along with providing supervision and training for volunteer staff. He/she plans the Auxiliary agenda and attends the monthly board meetings. He/she works closely with the Gift Shop Steering Committee and volunteers to ensure smooth operation. Radiologic Technologist (Part-time)
The Radiologic Technologist performs general radiographic procedures; cross-training on additional modalities will be expected. The exams will be performed in a professional and diagnostic manner under the direction of the Department Manager and Supervising Radiologist. Medical Clinic Receptionist (Full-time)
The Medical Clinic Receptionist greets and assists patients in person and on the phone, schedules appointments by computer, takes messages and verifies patient information. Cardiac Rehab Nurse (Casual)
The Cardiac Rehab nurse is responsible for performing day to day implementation and follow-up management for clients in the cardiovascular rehabilitation continuum. Primary responsibilities include: physical and medical assessment, emergency medical management of clients, and to be the primary contact person for physician communication. He/she must be able to develop a plan of care for the clients, and possess the ability to work independently and with team support as needed to provide an individualized rehabilitation program to meet the clients’ needs. The Cardiac Rehab Nurse must become familiar with and be compliant with the regulatory agencies governing the Rehab program. Cook Assistant/Runner - Hospital (Casual)
The Cook Assistant – Runner delivers meal trays to hospital patients, washes pots and pans, operates the dish machine, and does assigned cleaning and mopping. Medical Clinic Nurse/Mill Creek Lab (Casual)
The Medical Clinic Nurse delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. She/he assists in patient teaching and is a link between the medical provider and patients. The Clinic Nurse is responsible for obtaining blood, preparing the lab sample to be transferred to Orange City. The nurse will also be performing certain lab tests while working in Mill Creek. In addition to meeting the needs of the lab patients, the nurse will be assisting other nurses and providers in the clinic with patients that are seen in the clinic. Host/Hostess - PRCC (Full-time)
The Prairie Ridge Care Center (PRCC) Host/Hostess is largely responsible for setting the welcoming, home like atmosphere in the cottage to which she/he is assigned. She/he sets tables, greets residents coming to the dining room, serves the meals, clears tables, runs the dish machine in the cottage, attends to assigned cleaning tasks, does scheduled activities with residents, serves snack times for residents, staff and visitors, and in general watches over and spends time with residents making the cottage a home. The Surgical Technologist is a member of the surgical team who works with other personnel in delivering quality care to the patient and assumes responsibilities pre-operatively, intra-operatively and post-operatively. He/she demonstrates technical competence and knowledge of aseptic technique, operating room policies and procedures, equipment, and supplies and instruments used in the operating room. He/she must possess well developed critical thinking skills and positive interpersonal relationships. The RN acts as a team leader in our Cottages. He/She administers meds/ treatments and supervises and directs care for approximately 24-48 residents.
