Coronavirus/COVID-19 Resources and Updates
"We got this."
A message from our CEO, Marty Guthmiller, to the communities we serve
The health and safety of those we serve is always our #1 priority. It is our mission, our purpose every day.
As the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread throughout the country, and as cases are confirmed in Iowa, I wanted to share actions being taken at Orange City Area Health System to help protect you, your loved ones, and our staff.
First, we are always prepared. We routinely train for scenarios, including infectious disease. We understand the techniques and steps required to protect ourselves and others in caring for our patients. At all levels in our organization, we have reminded our staff to “ramp up” their awareness – whether it be in the rigor of cleaning and sanitation, or in the common sense practices such as hand washing. Personal protective equipment (masks, gloves, etc.) for patients and staff are readily available.
Second, we understand our role to be a resource to those we serve by providing critical information. One of the primary sources is our web site, where various links are provided for the latest updates and information. Please use this site as your own resource, and pass it along to others as well.
All of us at Orange City Area Health System understand that this issue is a concern to many. Please be assured that as circumstances develop and continue to evolve, we will never waiver from our #1 priority of your health and well-being.
Marty Guthmiller, Chief Executive Officer
