Respiratory Therapy/Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Do you suffer from a chronic lung disorder like emphysema or asthma? Or do you find yourself increasingly short of breath? If so, ask your doctor how our pulmonary rehabilitation program can help!
Pulmonary rehab is a two-month program involving education regarding your lungs and medications, breathing techniques, and exercises designed to help improve your quality of life. Our registered respiratory therapists can work with you to improve your lung capacity and discover the triggers that might affect your breathing. When needed, they will gather others on our “team” like physical therapists, dieticians, and pharmacists to give you a holistic and long-term approach to living a more active life. Following the program, you will have access to the exercise equipment in our cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation room for a lifetime of fitness and better breathing.
Pulmonary rehab is used with medical therapy and may include:
Education on your lung disease or condition and how to manage it
Psychological counseling and/or group support
