Landsmeer Ridge Retirement Community: Assisted Living
The Assisted Living area of the building offers tenants independence with a little extra help. There are two types of Assisted Living apartments – studio alcove and one bedroom, carefully designed for freedom and convenience:
16 Studio: 333 square feet
12 One bedroom: 462 square feet
Landsmeer Ridge Assisted Living
Each apartment has individually-controlled central heating/air conditioning and emergency call stations. Apartments are unfurnished but have kitchenettes equipped with a small refrigerator, sink, and microwave. Each apartment has two closets with an additional storage cupboard provided for those with studio apartments, down the hall.
Tenants in Assisted Living are provided with three hot meals daily in the common dining room. Housekeeping and flat linen laundry services are provided weekly. Personal laundry service is also available* although the Assisted Living area has a laundry room with a washer and dryer available to tenants at no charge.
Scheduled van transportation is provided at no charge for all LRRC tenants at two set times each week to various locations throughout the community. City taxi service is available to all citizens of Orange City five days per week.* Twenty-eight garages with openers are available* for tenants of either Independent or Assisted Living although they are located at the Independent end of Landsmeer Ridge.
For those in Assisted Living, assistance is set up on an individual need basis during an assessment visit and the creation of a Service Plan with the Manager. Service plans may include such things as supervision of medications, help with dressing and bathing and other specific day-to-day living needs. A whirlpool tub is available and may be used with or without assistance.

Library with computers
Guest room available for overnight guests*
